Anytime that we are out of alignment with the Spirit (our individual calling) it pulls us further away from our purpose. However, I do see how not being obedient to evangelism is considered sinful to the Spirit, if disobedient to the call as an individual not as the church. Unlike John Stott, I do not believe that it is a contradiction to one’s spirituality. This prophet believed that the only way to dissipate sin is through the spreading of the Gospel message. According to Prophet Azuca, “Evangelism is a revered assignment handed down to the church by Jesus Christ before He left this world. In other words, do we globally have the same view as it pertains to world evangelism?įor the current local churches in which I have attended, I’ve witnessed the abundance of contributions towards world evangelism. However, I believe that some local churches contribute abundantly as it pertains to world evangelism and less locally, which leads me to questioning the calling towards such ministries and what that looks like from the Fathers’ view. I do believe that through spiritual obedience local churches do contribute in a way that is led spiritually. Furthermore, I do not believe it is a contradiction to an individual’s Christian identity. In this current moment of my life I believe that churches should not have a central mandate to travel the world and evangelize. I believe that global evangelization weighs in as a form of ministry through a variety of missions in the local church.
